Matures mid January (Hawkes Bay). Large, round attractive bright red over green yellow background fruit, with the yellow shoulders turning red on maturity. Skin of medium thickness with a waxy finish appearance. Firm and juicy light yellow flesh that turns slightly red under the skin and with a sweet aromatic but distinctly Santa Rosa flavour. Freestone. Very good storage if harvested at the proper stage. Medium vigour and cropping. Upright to spreading tree. Blooms early to mid season. Suitable pollinators are Heard and Cherry plums.
